Affiliate Program Terms

1. Program Overview

The TikRSS Affiliate Program lets Pro and Power subscribers earn a commission when they refer new paying subscribers. By participating you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must hold an active Pro or Power subscription to generate a referral link. Free tier accounts cannot earn commissions. Accounts flagged for fraud or abuse under our Acceptable Use Policy are ineligible.

3. Commission Rate & Basis

Affiliates earn 30% of the gross subscription amount for each new paying subscriber they refer, for the lifetime of that subscriber's paid subscription.

Stripe processing fees are absorbed by TikRSS and do not reduce the commission. Commissions are rounded down to the nearest cent.

• Pro Monthly ($9.90): affiliate earns $2.97/month per referred user
• Pro Yearly ($99): affiliate earns $29.70/year per referred user
• Power Monthly ($29): affiliate earns $8.70/month per referred user
• Power Yearly ($290): affiliate earns $87/year per referred user

4. Attribution & Cookies

Referrals are tracked via a first-party cookie with a 30-day lifetime. Last-click wins: if a user arrives through multiple affiliate links, the most recent link within the cookie window gets the attribution.

Self-referrals are not permitted. If you sign up using your own referral link, no commission is earned.

5. Disclosure Compliance (FTC §255)

When sharing your affiliate link, you must clearly disclose your material connection to TikRSS. This is a U.S. Federal Trade Commission requirement (16 CFR §255) and similar rules apply in the EU, UK, China, and most jurisdictions.

Acceptable disclosures include:

• "(Affiliate link) — I earn a commission if you sign up."
• "I'm a TikRSS affiliate. Purchases through my link may earn me a commission."

Burying the disclosure in a long disclaimer, placing it after a paywall, or omitting it entirely is a violation of these terms.

6. Payouts

Payouts run monthly on the 1st of each month for the prior calendar month. To receive a payout you must:

• Have completed Stripe Connect Express onboarding (KYC verified)
• Have an accumulated balance of at least $20 USD
• Have a valid bank account linked to your Stripe account

Balances below $20 roll forward to the next month. Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect and typically settle in 1–2 business days.

7. Refund Clawback

If a referred subscriber is refunded, the corresponding commission is reversed (a negative entry is written against your balance). If your running balance becomes negative due to refunds, the negative balance carries forward to the next payout cycle.

If the following cycle also nets negative, we zero out your balance (forgive the deficit) and write a synthetic "forgiven balance" record for audit. We will never collect on a negative balance — there is no debt collection and no Stripe debit against your account. You will receive a one-time email notification when a forgiveness occurs.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Refer yourself (sign up through your own link)
• Create multiple accounts to refer each other
• Use paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) bidding on "TikRSS" brand keywords without prior written approval
• Spam, cookie-stuff, or use deceptive marketing practices
• Offer cash-back or kickback incentives to referred users
• Use your link in misleading contexts (e.g., claiming TikRSS endorses unrelated products)

9. Data Processing (Stripe Connect)

By participating, you authorize TikRSS to share your name, email, and country with Stripe, Inc. for the purposes of KYC verification, tax form collection, and payout processing. Stripe acts as our sub-processor and processes your data under their privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your affiliate account for any violation of these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination, any positive balance at the time of termination will be paid out at the next regular cycle. Balances below $20 at termination are forfeited.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice via email. Continued participation after the notice period constitutes acceptance. Material changes that disadvantage affiliates (e.g., a commission rate reduction) will be announced at least 60 days in advance.
