2. Description of Service & Transformative Fair Use

TikRSS is an AI-assisted knowledge synthesis and briefing engine designed for researchers, builders, investors, and knowledge workers. We aggregate publicly accessible multimedia feeds and convert spoken insights into structured executive text summaries.

• Supported Platforms & Ingestion: TikRSS indexes public creator channels, podcasts, and videos across YouTube, TikTok, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and standard Podcast RSS feeds. Content can be ingested via direct URL submission, one-click browser extension, Telegram bot (@TikRssBot), or inbound email forwarding (sub@in.tikrss.com).
• Transformative Synthesis (17 U.S.C. §107): TikRSS processes speech-to-text transcripts to create original, transformative study aids, including executive takeaways, conceptual frameworks, actionable checklists, and bilingual summaries. These outputs are intended solely for personal scholarship, productivity, and critical research.
• No Audiovisual Redistribution: TikRSS does not operate as an audiovisual hosting, file sharing, or media re-streaming platform. All intellectual property rights in original recordings remain exclusively with their respective creators and originating platforms. Original video sources are always credited and linked back directly to their primary creators.
• Multi-Channel Knowledge Export: Subscribers receive summaries via daily morning email briefings (scheduled to each subscriber's own timezone), instant and weekly recap emails, Telegram real-time dispatches, and automated integrations with Notion and Obsidian (Markdown).

3. Subscription Tiers, 7-Day Free Trial & Billing

TikRSS offers tiered plans to fit different research workloads, governed by transparent billing standards in compliance with the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA):

• Free Tier: Follow up to 3 creator channels with standard web dashboard access. Free forever with zero payment credentials required.
• Pro Tier ($9.90/month or $99/year): Follow up to 50 creators, scheduled 07:00 daily morning email briefings, private RSS/Atom feed generation, Telegram bot push notifications, and automatic synchronization to Notion and Obsidian. Eligible new subscribers receive a 7-day complimentary free trial.
• Power Tier ($29/month or $290/year): Follow up to 200 creators, priority real-time transcription queues, custom AI prompt lenses, and developer webhook access.
• Automatic Renewal & Simple Click-to-Cancel: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time with a single click via your Account Settings or the Stripe Customer Billing Portal. If payment on renewal fails, paid Pro/Power service is suspended immediately without grace period.
• Refunds (Prorated by Unused Days Only): Refunds for active paid subscriptions are provided strictly on a prorated basis for remaining unused days in your billing cycle. Once a refund is issued, paid access terminates immediately and the account reverts to the Free tier. Full terms are outlined in our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable Use and Platform Integrity

You agree not to abuse the TikRSS infrastructure or infringe upon the rights of others:

• Fair Ingestion Limits: You may not reverse-engineer, overwhelm, or circumvent quota thresholds or rate limits (e.g., using automated scrapers or rotating IP proxies against our transcription APIs).
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication Magic Links and private RSS feed tokens. Private feed tokens must not be publicly published or redistributed to third parties.
• Creator Rights & Takedown Requests: We strictly honor creator requests to opt out of indexing or remove specific summaries via our dedicated DMCA & Takedown Policy or the Creator Claim Portal.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

TikRSS is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. AI summaries are synthesized algorithmically using advanced large language models and may occasionally produce hallucinations or factual variances. Users are advised to review primary source recordings for definitive verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TikRSS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your reliance on synthesized briefings or temporary platform service interruptions.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without giving effect to choice of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
